"True Ground" started off with some odd-meter riffs and a "color outside the lines" mindset. At Sweetfoot, Shea set up a small growly amp in the same large room as my vocal/guitar mics. The cheap acoustic being cranked thru the small amp really makes for a wild tone. (The outro sounds monotonous right now because we are going to add some add'l instruments & vocal harmonies building into a finale. )
Looking forward to sharing the creation process with you on this one. Ideas are a'flowing. Jordon Stanley and Gingerwolf are joining us at Sweetfoot Monday 3/20 to write/record their parts.
Shortly after recording, I met up with a friend who refurbished a 1940's vinyl cutting lathe & we cut this recording of "True Ground" to a disc.
